School Is Back In Session

As I, return to MATC to finish up my Associates Degree in Information Technology Networking Specialist I can honestly say that I will miss my Instructors and fellow classmates.  You see I am getting closer to 40 and I was force out of the manufacturing environment due to the recess.  I have changed jobs three times in the last 11 years.  Scary,  yes it is and every time I have came back to MATC. MATC has given me a new outlook on life and a new way of communicating with others in a different platform.

So, as I approach graduation a new worry is coming over me.  Will I be able to find a job?  You see I am a single mother who is rising her children.  I am my children role model so every other weekend we are looking at colleges and Universities they may want to go to.  As most of you know trying to keep things together is not always easy.  I try to stay humble say a prayer and keep moving forward.

So these are my tips to make in College

  1. Come to class early.
  2. Be willing to help others.
  3. Respect each others opinion.
  4. Don't be afraid to ask any type of question.
  5. Read and study whenever is possible.
  6. Keep an open communication with your instructors they are will to help you if you show them that you are serious about your needs.
  7. Join a club at the campus of your choose.
  8. Volunteer around the campus.
  9. Don't feel intended by the younger classmates you have an advantage you have real world experience.
  10. Don't play on the computers or use your cell phone while your instructor is talking.
  11. Get a good night sleep.
  12. Bring a snack and drink.
