The first organization I’ve researched that uses both facebook and twitter it is Forbes Magazine. They use these platforms and trends people are interested in. Which in turn helps Forbe to write in their magazine. It is amazing how social has take the internet by storm. Forbes have 470k followers on facebook and over 1,400,000 followers in twitter. Just like they advised on both of their accounts “Homepage for the World’s Business Leaders.
This article caught my eye and social media has grown as a powerhouse. Information share among people from all walks of life. It is always a good possibilities you can make a career out of social media.
The second organization they also uses both facebook and twitter it is called AllAfrica.com They also use these platforms for political views and all about what is happening in Africa. From innovation in Africa to the uprising and how social media is shaping Kenya and other parts of Africa. “Kenya: Social Media Becomes Kenya’s New Battleground” In the article it did said that “Government will not block socials sites despite increased hate speech.” On facebook they have over 35,000 followers and on twitter over 58,000 followers. Africa uses it social media power to communicate to others world wide.

Myra,
ReplyDeleteWonderful articles and good advice from the Forbe's article, for companies to take it slow and try to first tap the resources within the company for help and support. Who doesn't know someone in the office with all the techie answers or the person on top of the newest technology? Surprising was how social media in your second article, has taken hold in Africa. Not surprising though that politics and sports would be two of any countries most talked about topics in social media.
Interesting choice of companies. I'm going to read more about allafrica.com.
